How to read the standings?

Teams are listed best to worst, so the team on top has the most points.

The 2 highlighted teams in each group go through to the knockout stage, along with the 8 best 3rd-place teams across all groups.

When teams have the same points, goal difference breaks the tie, then goals scored, then the result of the game between them. See the full tiebreakers for the rest.

How to read this table:

  • P = games played, W = won
  • D = drew (a tie, no winner)
  • L = lost, GF = goals scored
  • GA = goals let in
  • GD = goal difference (goals scored minus goals let in)
  • Pts = points.

A team gets 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 for a loss.

The team with the most points sits on top.
