How did Brazil's World Cup end?
This one still feels hard to believe.
Brazil, the 5-time champions, are out in the round of 16, beaten 2-1 by Norway.
The strange part is that Brazil played well and did almost everything right.
They had the ball for most of the game and chance after chance.
But one man stood in their way, Norway's goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, and he was unbeatable on that night.
He saved a penalty and stopped every other shot.
That is why the score stayed 0-0 for a long time.
Then Erling Haaland struck twice late, in the 79th and 90th minutes, and suddenly Brazil were losing.
Neymar scored a penalty right at the very end, but it came far too late to save them.
So how did it come to this for a team that started as one of the favorites?
The group stage had been smooth, a 1-1 draw with Morocco, then a 3-0 win over Haiti and a 3-0 win over Scotland.
Then in the round of 32 they beat Japan 2-1, thanks to a late goal from Martinelli.
But it already felt like a warning sign that Brazil had to do more and play more aggressively.
Their squad was full of quality, from Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid) to Neymar, Martinelli, and Casemiro.
Carlo Ancelotti, the first non-Brazilian ever to coach them at a World Cup, could not find a way past one hot goalkeeper.
Unfortunately, in the end, it led to a disaster for a country that lives to win the whole tournament.
The wait for a 6th title goes on, and it will be a long road for them to rebuild and move forward after such a loss.
